Cisco have launched their next generation Data Centre platform that initiates their entry into the server market and unites computing, networking, storage access and virtualisation into one cohesive system.
This strategy is targeted towards resolving the pain points created through private cloud computing, virtualisation, and high density computing.
Bridge Point and Cisco will provide a presentation on Cisco Unified Computing (UCS) which steps through each of the key pain points and how they are being addressed.

We hosted another Critical Infrastructure forum with Peter Webb from DBCDE in Canberra as our guest speaker. It was another great opportunity for people from the Energy, Water, Control System, Carrier and Health to discuss and collaborate on network and security topics.

Queensland Govt Agency Win
Bridge Point was recently awarded two major contracts to supply Cross Beam, Check Point and Blue Coat equipment and services to a large Qld Government secure network project. This win in conjunction with other existing Qld and NSW contracts including Qld Health DCE panel HIT0549, Qld Department of Environment and Resource Management NRS0031 and NSW ICT Services Panel 2020 positions Bridge Point to continue to provide network and security solutions from market leading vendors to Qld and NSW government agencies.

Cisco Building Mediator
Cisco recently launched its Building Mediator product which collects data from the building, IT, energy supply and energy demand systems onto a common IP network. Bridge Point is working with Cisco and Siemens to provide this network based framework that allows enterprise applications, cloud services and building/IT systems to communicate.
